Apporva Lakhia said that, “There are very few heroes in Bollywood who can play the character of an angry young man. Somehow I had the chance to watch ‘Magadheera’ and I was blown away with Ram Charan’s performance in action sequences. That is when I have decided that he will be the hero in my film”. He also added that when Mega Star Chiranjeevi saw his rushes he appreciated him.
