In the wake of widespread protests across the state ever since July 30th announcement,
Industry folks have been eagerly waiting for the release of big ticket films to know
how the reactions of the people would be like. Both 'Yevadu' and 'Atharintiki Daredi'
are supposed to release by now, but got delayed as the producers feared huge losses
they are gonna incur if agitators target the theatres. Finally, Ram Charan dared to release
his bilingual flick 'Zanjeer/Toofan' on Yesterday despite threats from different
organizations in both the regions.

Akkineni Nagarjuna appreciated Charan's guts to release his film in the

Charan feels 'Toofan' collections will be affected by 25% due to the
ongoing agitations,
but this loss is much lesser when compared to the damage producers and distributors
will be facing due to delay in release. "If Producer earns money, he will again invest the
money in the Industry itself. A lot of people will be getting employment. I believe,
Film Industry runs not because of actors or director, but only due to producers," he quotes.

'Toofan' has done impressive business on Day 1 by collecting over Rs 8
crore in AP alone.
Wish the good run continues to pave way for the release of other biggies!
